My apologies to my thousands of screaming fans… I have been the very definition of a negligent blogger. And that bothers me. Alot.

I’m grinning to myself now because what spurred me to get back on my laptop this morning is the discovery of a new blog, Hyperbole and a Half. All I know about the writer is that her name is Allie, she’s verbally and visually creative, and she’s hilarious. I found her through Kristin Nelson’s blog, Pub Rants, which is an always-interesting peek into the publishing world through the eyes of a literary agent.
The imaginary creative above is Allie’s way of coping with people who say things such as: “I love this movie alot!” or “That’s alot of garbage.” In the first, she pictures them talking to their friend, Alot, sharing just how much they love the movie. In the second, she envisions the creature is made of garbage. Literally.
I love this way of handling a pet peeve. I’m trying to figure out what kind of a creature an Alright would be. Kind of mellow, I’m thinking.
